Description
As a Service Field Technician on our Customer Service Team at SuRe InnoVations, you will be accountable for on-site troubleshooting and repair of technology and security system issues, where they were not resolved remotely by a bench service technician. Guided by our core values of Customer Focus, Innovation, Honesty, and Care, you will ensure client’s are completely satisfied, and provide them opportunities to improve or upgrade their technology system.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Field Troubleshoot and Repair
- Visit client’s homes and businesses to troubleshoot and repair systems
- Analyze and configure WIFI networks and home automation devices
- Assess and calibrate audio and video equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair alarm, access, and camera systems
- Strive to repair or remedy issues permanently, on the first visit
- Be courteous, clean and professional at all times
- Manage your workload and tasks via a cloud-based case management system
- Manage product warranty claims, replacement and repair processes
- Utilize tech support resources (internal and external) to maximize productivity
- Sell Replacements and Upgrades
- Identify opportunities for simple system improvements that will present value to our clients
- Offer and deliver expedited solutions to deliver that value (often on the same visit)
- Identify opportunities for significant system improvements and generate new leads for the project sales team
Prerequisite Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- General computer skills
- Excellent troubleshooting, logic, and reasoning skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to complete a high volume of work within deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
Prerequisite Qualifications
- Maintain valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s abstract
- Provide acceptable criminal record check
- Provide proof of vaccination against Covid-19
- Must have achieved Grade 12 diploma or higher
- Service and/or technology experience is preferred
Additional Details
- Pay is negotiable, and based on experience and value created
- Benefits offered after 3 months of employment
- Hours are Monday to Friday, 8-4:30. Some overtime required
- On the job training will be provided
